What we do

The choir Volvene aims at performing a broad range of music. The repertoire
embraces all genres, ranging from Madrigals and classical pieces, folk songs,
musicals, typical Scandinavian choral works to pop, blues and jazz and. During
the past few years, Volvene has worked with choreographers and a variety of
local artists within the genres of blues and Jazz.

Feel free to contact us for any type of lyrical assignment. The song of Volvene
is one not easily forgotten.

The following gives an overview of some of the things we have done:

The Annual Christmas Concert in Hetland church starring guest artists and
friends of the choir such as Hanne Krogh, Reidar Larsen, Per Inge Torkelsen,
Roald Brekke, Storhaug local choir I & II, Christel E. Smith, Dag Vidar Haugen
and Eva B.Haugen.

The Storhaug Concert in “Stavangeren” (Stage for Culture and Revues) every
other year. At this concert, our choir has been accompanied by great artists such
as Gunnar Roalkvam, Even Stormoen, Espen Hana, Hans Morten Hansen,
Gjertrud Økland & The Gypsy Orchestra, Gisela Herb, Signy Sandsberg, Gretelill
Tangen, Calle Fjogstad, Eva Bjerga Haugen, The Jazz Quartet HBH with musicians
Roald Brekke, Rolf Hinderaker, Dag Vidar Haugen and Gisle Myklebust.
